Good design requires strong artistic inspiration. Together with the Viasit development team, designer Ralf Umland has created a product family with a powerful, striking design based on a perfectly thought-out modular principle. The Impulse collection – because Nomen est omen.

The Impulse product family includes four-legged and cantilever chairs as visitor chairs. These offer the possibility of exchanging mesh and upholstered backs and can optionally be equipped with armrests.

• All elements for the design of Impulse clearly reveal a single signature. Clear, clean lines with round profile cross-sections predominate. That is why the frames of the cantilever chairs are also bent from a single round tube.
• The upholstered backrest of the visitor chairs can also be fitted with an upholstered back shell on the back.
• All chairs can be easily stacked with or without armrests. The underside of the seat is equipped with a provision that protects fabric and upholstery during stacking.
• The netweave has a continuous frame that is invisibly connected to the mesh carrier. The connection between the backrest and the base matches the design principle of the entire collection.
• For all seats, the front is ergonomically rounded. The full height of the seat and frame is used for the comfort of the seat cushion.

The modular concept

The complete product family of the Impulse collection is based on a modular concept for the individual configuration of your swivel chair. Sliding seat, automatic seat angle adjustment, and lumbar support, together with the aluminum star base, headrest, and various armrests, offer a large number of options from which you can assemble your Impulse.
Whether you choose the comfortable variant with seat cushions or the light variant with mesh, the perfected synchronization technology with integrated multi-functionality is the same for all models.

Impulse Office Chair at a glance:

• The headrest is connected to the backrest over its entire width. Support is therefore possible in any sitting position.
• The controls are discreetly yet clearly arranged, allowing for quick and easy adjustment of the chair. Understandable symbols clarify the individual functions.
• The width adjustment of the armrests is stepless.
• Both the upholstered and mesh back models can, if desired, be extended with a height-adjustable lumbar support, which can be easily adjusted using rotary knobs.
• A sliding lever allows the backrest's counter-pressure to be adjusted in a flash.
• Using push buttons, the height of the backrest can be adjusted up to 70 mm and adapted to the user.
• The smooth synchronous movement, combined with a particularly large opening angle, allows the backrest to move flexibly and optimally adapt to the natural body movements of the sitter.
• From the starting position at 0 degrees, the seat can be tilted forward in two steps up to 8 degrees. Tilting the seat forward causes the pelvis to tilt, thus ensuring long-term healthy sitting.
• The mesh backrest can also be equipped with a height-adjustable lumbar support.
• The armrests have a height range of 100 mm. The armrest supports are not connected to the sliding seat and therefore do not move when the seat is adjusted. This allows them to maintain the most favorable position relative to the backrest, offering optimal support.
• The armrest pad is made of soft polyurethane foam and provides comfortable support. The
• part on which the forearm rests can be adjusted in depth by 30 mm.
